You will not make a decision unless you have every little fact and figure you can get your hands on.

YELLOW: You may a yellow if you are open ( you give information freely and answer questions willingly ) and you are indirect ( you don’t respond with the ask for information but give another response and they will answer your question and stop ) your voice is soft and gentle and you dress casual and comfortable, khaki’s and Birkenstock sandals, T-shirts and sweats. You are dependable, a great team player, the patience of Job, you are supportive.

RED: You may be a Red if You are very direct. But what happens is, sometimes people think they’re being open, when they’re not. They are just very, very direct. You refuse to show weakness of any type. Reds will come right to you and want to know why You are asking that question. Reds are very Direct and self contained.

What is a 5 Pillars Company?

A 5 Pillars Company is a company that has 5 important parts to it that are vital to your success as a member/distributor of it. I'll discuss each of the Pillars below.

You want to be sure the company you are interested in has ALL 5 of them and you want to know this BEFORE you sign up with them.

You are making a decision that will impact your future success. Your decision will affect your family, your time and your income. I know there are a LOT of exciting offers out there. Take a step back from your excitement. Let your research help you base your decision on facts rather than the emotional high from the offer at hand.

The 5 Pillars

Pillar 1. Company Management Experience with Integrity!

A good company should have management who has experience building a network marketing company themselves. And a good company should have Integrity.

Do a simple Google search on the company owners. Put their name in the search bar surrounded with quotation marks. Try putting the word "scam" behind their name. What do you find?

Consider this. When a company is built by an owner who has built a large business or downline themselves, you could call them "Distributor minded". They will be more mindful that the pay plan will be good and it will be easy for even part timers to build a business with them.

When a company is built by Fortune 500 executive types who have never built a network marketing business themselves, they will be more "business minded". The pay plan will be designed to pay the company not the Distributors.

The company's Policies and Procedures (P&P) should be available to you before you join. This will be your legal contract with the company. You owe to yourself to read it over BEFORE you join.

Typically, the shorter the P&P, the better. A short P&P that is short and to the point means there is low overhead. The cost to run the company is minimal....so the company is able to provide a better pay plan paying more money to the distributors.

Companies with high overhead always have a long, long Policies and Procedures. These are the kind of Policies and Procedures that even a lawyer would dread reading.

Beware of these clauses:

Annual renewal Clause. This means you have a one year contract with your company. They can choose NOT to renew you!

Ongoing Obligation Clause: You will have an ongoing obligation to "___" (often the blank is filled in with RECRUIT) meaning if you fail to recruit as per the P&P clause, the company has the right to TERMINATE you regardless of your level of achievement. [How would you like to work hard and build your organization to a level of $10,000 or more per month only to be terminated because one month you failed to meet the ongoing recruiting obligation?]

Termination Clause: This clause gives the company the right to terminate you at will. {How reassuring is that!??]

Here is another search to try. Look for the company's products on Ebay. How much cheaper can you buy the products for? A lot of people shop on Ebay and if they can buy those products cheaper they will!

Pillar 2. Timing in the company, Timing in the industry!

In general, you want to be with a company that is at least 2 years old, preferably 4.

99.2% of new companies do not survive the first 2 yrs after they launch. They have great difficulty surviving their growing pains. Changes can and will be made to the compensation plan.

Where will this leave you the distributor?

Often there are software problems. Bugs need to be worked out; formulations need tweaked; upgrades need done.

Pillar 3. A Fantastic Product at Value Pricing!

Most companies have great products. Ask yourself if you would buy this product at the asking price if there were no business opportunity involved?

Can people buy the product without being a distributor? Retail sales should be a big part of your business volume.

You want to build with both customers and distributors. If you only have distributors, you are in a "recruit, recruit" business model. If you are recruiting, recruiting, recruiting you're just building a paycheck not a long lasting residual income! There simply is NO residual income in recruiting!

Pillar 4. The Compensation Plan!

What constitutes a "good pay plan"? My answer to you is one that pays the most, for the least amount of people, in your organization!

Can a part-time networker make money with your pay plan? How much money do you make on a retail sale? If you are being paid 7% or less on the retail price, it will take you out of the game!!

Here is a simple formula that will show you exactly how many people you need in your organization to make your desired monthly income. I use $10,000 per month for easy figuring. I call it the 10K Question.

Figure out how much money you make per person, per spot, and divide that into your desired monthly income! That simple formula will give you the exact amount of people you will need in your organization to make your money!

Example: $10,000 divided by $4.83 = 2,070 people under you who are ordering the minimum autoship every month.

If you want to earn $1,000 per month, divide both by 10. Result: 207 people under you.

The industry average is 2500 people for $10,000 per month.

Will you be able to build it that big? Will you be able to help your downline build theirs to so you can maintain your organization? How likely is it for a part-time person to achieve that?

Pillar 5. Systems for Success!

This is the "Glue" that holds it all together. You MUST have a system that ANYONE can plug into to have leads come to them. The SYSTEM must be duplicatable.

SYSTEMS are duplicatable, PEOPLE are NOT.

Every new Distributor will ask themselves, "Can I do this?" and "Can you, will you, help me?"

Network marketing is NOT a sales business. It is a relationship business! People join people, they do NOT join companies!

What do you tell your Prospects when They ask you: "How much are You making?"

It is a very good question from your prospect's point of view. They want to know several things:

1. Will it be worthwhile to invest time in your opportunity, or

2. Are you successful or not. If yes, they'll keep listening. If not, they have an excuse to get rid of you.

So how do you answer that question?

Try this the next you get asked that question:


"I found out that I need to get about 125 people using products regularly. This can be customers or business builders. This will replace $30,000 income at my job.

So, one day I asked myself, "Which is easier for me to do? Continue working at my job for the rest of my life....or learn a system how to get 125 product users?"

Right now I am learning to use a system to accumulate those 125 users.

What will the next 5 Years Bring to You?

"My friend is going to college for five years to become a professional. At the end of those five years, he graduates. Then he will start his career by looking for a job.

When was the last time you learned something new to build your network marketing business?

Let's say that you're an old pro. You've been actively networking since 1980 -- but you're still using 1980 techniques! Has the world passed you by? Are you crippling your efforts by not taking advantage of new techniques?

Well, what has changed since 1980? Let's see.

In 1980 . . .

CDs and DVDs hadn’t been invented yet. You couldn’t pass out or use a CD to prospect or explain your plan. In fact, VCRs were just coming on the scene.

You could not use a fax or fax-on-demand for prospecting, distribution of forms, or getting the marketing plan immediately into a prospect’s hands. There weren’t any fax machines.

Internet? That’s over 10 years away. There were no company home pages or even ways to access them if they did exist.

E-mail? You’re kidding. Spam still meant luncheon meat with the shelf life of gravel.

Long distance calls were expensive.

There were no conference calls.

Many prospects didn’t have credit cards.

And most prospects would give you 20 or 30 minutes for a presentation.

Things change, don't they?

When was the last time you took time to learn new prospecting and sponsoring skills?

If you’re still using 1980 or 1990 techniques, your competition might be stealing your best prospects while you’re working hard, but using ancient skills and out-dated, inefficient techniques.

Life Is not the amount of breaths you take, it’s the moments in your life that take your breath away.

The 10K Question

When we take a job or a salaried position, we know what our hourly wage or our annual salary will be before we start. If we buy a business, we will have projections and reasonable estimates of income.

Why is it that when we start a home based business, we don’t even think about asking those questions? When we start a home based business, we should know how hard we will have to work to achieve our goals. Otherwise, it is like starting a job and finding out months later what we are being paid!


Michael Dlouhy has taught me to ask The 10K Question:

“How many active distributors do I need in my business to generate a walk away residual income of $10,000 per month?”

I like the question for several reasons.

1. It leaves out products. We don’t get into discussions like “My long distance is better than your legal plan! My lotion is better than your potion!”

2. The word ‘active’ avoids discussion of attrition rates and the commitment levels of your team.

3. The phrase ‘walk away’ makes us investigate our policies and procedures to make sure we can actually retire and pass our business on to our children’s children. It also ensures that if we do take a break or vacation, our business will still be there when we come back, and our team will continue to be well taken care of.

4. The word ‘residual’ makes us calculate how much money we will make from retail or wholesale sales, not just from recruiting.

5. The figure of $10,000 makes us think big. It’s also fair to the company, as most or all of the commissions and bonuses will have kicked in by then.

If we started a job or bought a traditional business, we would know our salary or the income projections from the previous owner. When we start a home business, however, we rarely ask that question, and we should!

I worked for over two years in a home based business following the advice of my upline to BUY LEADS. I spent thousands of dollars on leads. AND then I discovered that it was going to be almost impossible for me to reach my goals. I wish I had asked the 10K question before I started.

If you do not know the answer to that question in your present business, find out before you waste two years like I did.

If you are considering starting a business, ask the question. If your sponsor or upline or company rep support cannot answer you, RUN! As Michael Dlouhy says, “Run far and run fast!”

Acid-Alkaline Balance

Surging Influenza Season Prompts FDA to Reformulate Flu Vaccine
The current influenza season is on the rampage, widely circulating across almost the entire country, the Centers for Disease Control said. The flu epidemic is now widespread in 49 US states, killing at least 22 children this year.
Although, the widespread influenza activity is up from 44 states reported last week, but the surge was not as dramatic as it was a week earlier. CDC said that Florida is the only state reporting just regional outbreaks.
"Flu activity has continued to increase, but not quite as dramatically as the increases we've seen over the previous 2 weeks," said Nancy Cox, MD, chief of the CDC's influenza division. "From a 10-year perspective, we are within the normal parameters of what we'd expect for an influenza season," she continued.
Last week, the World Health Organization expressed their concern about the ongoing bad flu season. WHO said the current influenza season is getting so worse that it can overpower the existing method of treating the infections.
Issuing the warning together with the CDC, U.S. officials said that in the surging influenza season virus can mutate, thus turning the current vaccines into inefficient methods to stop the infections.
Influenza (commonly known as "the flu") is an acute respiratory illness caused by one of the family of influenza viruses. In infants, persons over the age of 65 years, and those with chronic medical conditions, flu can lead to pneumonia, hospitalization, and even death. Each winter, influenza engulfs 36,000 lives in America, most of them elderly and children, and more than 200,000 people are hospitalized with flu-related complications.
According to CDC, although H1N1 subtypes of influenza were more common at the beginning of the season in the United States, the predominant subtype is still A/H3N2.
Why the flu season is getting worse is partly because this year's vaccine is a good match for only about 40% of the viruses, while the flu shots can fend off 70% to 90% of flu bugs in good years, CDC said.
What worried the health agencies most is that this year’s flu vaccine is no longer able to cover all the strains of the viruses that have been circulating throughout the country. Some of the circulating viruses differing from those in the vaccine, the CDC said.
"This year we have two new virus that have cropped up unexpectedly and our flu vaccine coverage hits about 40% of what we are seeing now," said Dr. Michael Richardson of Charlotte Medical Clinic.
Flu vaccines contain the three most common circulating strains, usually two from the Type A family of influenza, and one from Type B. But, the FDA decided this week that three new strains of the virus will be used for next year's vaccine because all three previously used strains have mutated.
Federal health officials on Thursday announced the selection of A-Brisbane/59, A-Brisbane/10, from the Type A family of influenza, and B-Florida, from Type B, for the next season's flu vaccine.

In a previous edition of Success Strategies, I talked about how in order to be successful, we must first define what success means to us, and that means getting CLEAR about what you want, writing it down, and thinking BIG!

If you are going to be successful in creating the life of your dreams, you have to believe that you are capable of making it happen. You have to believe you have the right stuff, that you are able to pull it off. You have to believe in yourself. Whether you call it self-esteem, self-confidence, or self-assurance, it is a deep-seeded belief that you have what it takes - the abilities, inner resources, talents, and skills to create your desired results.

Ultimately, you must learn to control your self-talk, eliminate any negative and limiting beliefs, and maintain a constant state of positive expectations.

Control Your Self-TalkResearchers have found that the average person thinks as many as 50,000 thoughts a day. Sadly, many of those thoughts are negative -- I'm not management material... I'll never lose weight... It doesn't matter what I do, nothing ever works out for me. This is what psychologists call victim language. Victim language actually keeps you in a victim state of mind. It is a form of self-hypnosis that lulls you into a belief that you are unlovable and incompetent.

In order to get what you want from life, you need to give up this victim language and start talking to yourself like a winner -- I can do it... I know there is a solution... I am smart enough and strong enough to figure this out... Everything I eat helps me maintain my perfect body weight.

You Are Always Programming Your Subconscious Mind Your subconscious mind is like the crew of a ship. You are it's captain. It is your job to give the crew orders. And when you do this, the crew takes everything you say literally. The crew (your subconscious) has no sense of humor. It just blindly follows orders. When you say, "Everything I eat goes straight to my hips," the crew hears that as an order: Take everything she eats, turn it into fat and put it on her hips. On the other hand, if you say, "Everything I eat helps me maintain my perfect body weight," the crew will begin to make that into reality by helping you make better food choices, exercise, and maintain the right metabolism rate for you body.

This power of your subconscious mind is the reason you must become very vigilant and pay careful attention to your spoken and internal statements. Unfortunately, most people don't realize they are committing negative self-talk, which is why it is best to enlist another person -- your success partner -- in monitoring each other's speaking. You can have a signal for interrupting each other when you use victim language.

Use Affirmations to Build Self-ConfidenceOne of the most powerful tools for building worthiness and self-confidence is the repetition of positive statements until they become a natural part of the way you think. These "affirmations" act to crowd out and replace the negative orders you have been sending your crew (your subconscious mind) all these years. I suggest that you create a list of 10 to 20 statements that affirm your belief in your worthiness and your ability to create the life of your dreams.

Of course, what to believe is up to you, but here are some examples of affirmations that have worked for others in the past:

I am worthy of love, joy and success.
I am smart and make wise choices.
I am loveable and capable.
I create anything I want.
I am able to solve any problem that comes my way.
I can handle anything that life hands me.
I have all the energy I need to do everything I want to do.
I am attracting all the right people into my life.

Believing in Yourself is an Attitude Believing in yourself is a choice. It's an attitude you develop over time. It's now your responsibility to take charge of your own self-concept and your beliefs. It might help to know that the latest brain research now indicates that with enough positive self-talk and positive visualization combined with the proper training, coaching, and practice, anyone can learn to do almost anything.

You must choose to believe that you can do anything you set your mind to - anything at all - because, in fact, you can!

Your Dreams and Goals

One of the amazing things we have been given as humans is the unquenchable desire to have dreams of a better life, and the ability to establish goals to live out those dreams. Think of it: We can look deep within our hearts and dream of a better situation for ourselves and our families; dream of better financial lives and better emotional or physical lives; certainly to dream of better spiritual lives.

And what makes this so wonderful is that we have the cognitive ability to actually lay out a plan, along with the step-by step strategies, to achieve those dreams...

So what are your dreams and goals? What is it that you really want? Have you ever sat down and thought through your life values and decided what you really want? Have you ever taken the time to truly reflect, to listen quietly to your heart, to see what dreams live within you? Your dreams are there. Everyone has them. They may live right on the surface, or they may be buried deep from years of others telling you they were foolish, but they are there.

So how do we know what our dreams are? This is an interesting process and it relates primarily to the art of listening. This is not listening to others; it is listening to yourself. If we listen to others, we can never be fulfilled. We will only chase elusive dreams that are not rooted deep within us. No, we must listen to our own hearts.

Let's take a look at five simple steps on hearing from our hearts on what our dreams really are:

1) Take time to be quiet... This is something that we don't do enough in this busy world of ours. We rush, rush, rush, and we are constantly listening to noise all around us. The human heart was meant for times of quiet, to peer deep within. It is when we do this that our hearts are set free to soar and take flight on the wings of our own dreams! Schedule some quiet "dream time" this week. No other people. No cell phone. No computer. Just you, a pad, a pen, and your thoughts.

2) Think about what really thrills you. When you are quiet, think about those things that get your blood moving. What would you love to do, either for fun or for a living? What would you love to accomplish? What would you try if you were guaranteed to succeed? What big thoughts move your heart into a state of excitement and joy? When you answer these questions you will feel great and you will be in the "dream zone." It is only when we get to this point that we experience what our dreams are!

3) Write down your dreams as you have them. Don't think of any as too outlandish or foolish-remember, you're dreaming! Let your thoughts fly and take careful notes.

4) Prioritize your dreams. Which feel most important? Which seem most feasible? Which would you love to do? Put them in the order in which you will actually try to attain them. Remember, we are always moving toward action, not just dreaming.

5) Focus on the big picture: Life is about pursuing your dreams. Someday your life will near its end and all you will be able to do is look backwards. You can reflect with joy or regret. Those who dream, who set goals and act on them to live out their dreams are those who live lives of joy and have a sense of peace when they near the end of their lives. They have finished well, for themselves and for their families.

Remember: These are the dreams and goals that are born out of your heart and mind. These are the goals that are unique to you and come from who you were created to be and gifted to become. Your specific goals are what you want to attain because they are what will make your life joyful and bring your family's life into congruence with what you want it to be.

before them, you make up your mind to walk boldly

Do the thing you fear and fear disappears.
Confront your fears, list them, get to know them
and only then will you be able to put them aside
and move ahead.

When you face the things that scare you,
you open the door to freedom.

The only thing you have to fear, is fear itself..

We have all heard of Network Marketing, MLM, Multi-Level-Marketing, Direct Sales, Affiliate Programs…IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU CALL IT! They are all built on the same principle and are all systems to create additional income from home. They are all businesses based on people talking to people to promote a product or service.

Here is the funny thing about this…WE ALL DO IT EVERYDAY! The only difference is that most of us don't get paid for it. How many times have you told a family member, a friend, even a stranger about a product or a service that you use and love or hate, even a movie that you saw and what you thought of it? You are Networking everyday!

Here is what everybody NEEDS to know before joining ANY Network Marketing company.
The first thing you must ask yourself is WHY? Why are you choosing to join a Network Marketing company? There are many reasons why people choose to join a Network Marketing company. It may be because they like the product or the service however; ultimately the reason why people join is for the Business opportunity and the opportunity to create Freedom in their lives.

I say this because if you are joining a Network Marketing company based solely on how great the products are or how great the services are you are cheating yourself. The TRUTH is; "You can get great products and great services at value prices everywhere".

When I started coaching people, they would write Money as their "WHY". They'd need to pay down credit card debt, wanted a different house or replace a car.

But your real "WHY" is never money.

It's about who YOU really are.

Your driving factor must be WAY more than money.

Now, here are some examples of my personal WHY's:

- I desire to enjoy my life to its fullest and spend a lot of time with the people I love.

- I desire to have fun every day of my life. I enjoy laughing with everyone I meet.

- I desire to have the freedom to do what I choose to do when I choose to do it.

- I desire to travel, first the USA; then the world with my husband. Sometimes I want to include our kids.

- I desire to be wealthy!

This is a short list and my WHY's list keeps on getting longer and longer everyday. This list is a work in progress.


The next step is finding the right Network Marketing Company for you! Now, this following section might offend some of you.

The first thing you should know about Network Marketing companies is that 99% of them never make it past their first 2 years of existence and 90% of those that do make it past their first 2 years never make it past their first 5 years. So the question I'm going to ask you is how big of a gambler are you? Companies that advertise that you need to get in now or else you'll miss out…well…these companies are attracting people out of FEAR of LOSS and HYPE!

The TRUTH is: "This does not make for an opportunity to create LONG TERM residual income that will be around to pay your children's children".
